VILLAGE HALL INFORMATION
 
 

The Village Elections will be held on March 16, 2010 from 9 am to 9 pm @ Village Hall 47 Main St.  in the Village Court located in the back of the building. 

There are two Village of Trustee positions available - each with a 2 year term (4/10 to 4/12)

The Candidates' for Village Trustee are:

Incumbent - Eugene Collins - Community Party

Carole Duffy - Community Party

Philip Roggia - Citizens Alliance

COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Registration for the Summer Recreation Program will be held at the Town Hall on March 12,13 & 15.  The program will begin on June 28, 2010.  For more information please call the Town of Chester Park and Recreation Office or visit their website at www.thetownofchester.org

 

Little League Parade to be held on April 10, 2010 beginning at 9:00 am - the parade will start on Winkler Place and end at Chester Community Park.

4th Annual Chester Clean-up will take place on May 1, 2010 - Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Tom Flynn at 783-1811

Kiwanis 5k Race will  take place on May 29, 2010

Chester Fireworks will take place on July 10, 2010

Town of Chester Movie Night will take place on July 16, 2010 with the 2nd one on August 6, 2010.

 

 

 Municipal Garbage Pick-Up Information Jan 2010

The Town of Chester Garbage District has recently changed its refuse collection company. The Village of Chester is part of the Town of Chester Garbage District.

County Waste is the new company that will be picking up your refuse and recycling. Recently, new refuse & recycling containers were delivered to your home. These containers can be used immediately. The containers cannot be stored on sidewalks or in the roadway. Containers should be placed out the night before pickup and removed no later than the evening of pickup. Any questions on the new system can be directed to County Waste at 457-4885.
